Ireland-UK Tour

So excited to announce that next week I am headed to Dublin to begin a week-long radio tour all across Ireland and the United Kingdom.  KEMC will be heading up promotion as we are currently getting a lot of airplay on the radio in Europe for my self-penned single, "Party In The Barn".

The response to Party has been incredible and I cannot wait to share my enthusiasm and love of music with those fans and radio staff in western Europe.  Keep up to date at my web site, www.jamesrobertwebb.com or on my Facebook or Twitter pages, both jamesrobertwebb!

Thanks!

"Party" Video Shoot In The Bag

TeamJRW met up at a barn just outside of Nashville on Friday to shoot the video for my single, Party In The Barn.  With thunderstorms predicted all day, we had resigned ourselves to shooting in and around the rain.

It turned out, though, that the weather cooperated.   Aside from a few sprinkles early in the morning and moderate heat, Mother Nature was our friend.

Producer Dustin Haney led the crew in creating a fun and energetic video partner to the song.  We had plenty of extras boot scooting and partying in style and the Banner Music and Kore PR team were there supporting--we even had a cameo by Kacey Smith.

I want to give special shoutouts to our support crew who did an amazing job. Thanks to stylist Mel Core, makeup artist Lisa Proctor and photographer Angela Talley for going above and beyond as usual.

I am definitely looking forward to sharing with you all in a couple of weeks.  In the meantime, be sure to request #PartyInTheBarn on your local country station this week.

New Single, "Party In The Barn" Out Monday on Country Radio

I'm excited to announce that my new single, "Party In The Barn" will be released this coming Monday to country radio.  Be sure to request it--especially if you live near a Music Row station.

This song is a positive, super fast,  up-tempo, honky tonk rocker that hearkens back to the best of country traditions with an updated modern sound that  I believe you will enjoy.

I wrote this song based partly on real life from my hometown in Kellyville, Oklahoma.  Last year, one of my best friends from high school, Garie, had a birthday party in his barn out near Indian Road.  So a lot of this song is auto-biographical.  It just reminded me of all of those classic songs like Dumas Walker, Little Miss Honky Tonk and Travis Tritt's version of T-R-O-U-B-L-E.

I hear fans talking a lot about where country music is headed.  And I hear a lot of people say that they're tired of hearing a bunch of songs about beer and tailgates.  For me, it's not so much the subject matter that gets me--country has always been about real life and real people.  To me it does seem that there are a lot of songs that say the same old things in the same old way using the exact same words and phrases.

When I was writing this song, I wanted to bring the positive, good feelings about a party while avoiding the laundry list of tired, overused cliches like 'beer can', 'dirt road', 'girl', 'painted on jeans', 'tailgate', and name checking liquor brands.   This is my clean cut version of a country celebration song like that leaves a little more to the imagination.   I certainly don't mind my kids singing this one.

I can't wait for you to hear it and tell me what you think!
