I'm excited to announce that my new single, "Party In The Barn" will be released this coming Monday to country radio. Be sure to request it--especially if you live near a Music Row station.
This song is a positive, super fast, up-tempo, honky tonk rocker that hearkens back to the best of country traditions with an updated modern sound that I believe you will enjoy.
I wrote this song based partly on real life from my hometown in Kellyville, Oklahoma. Last year, one of my best friends from high school, Garie, had a birthday party in his barn out near Indian Road. So a lot of this song is auto-biographical. It just reminded me of all of those classic songs like Dumas Walker, Little Miss Honky Tonk and Travis Tritt's version of T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
I hear fans talking a lot about where country music is headed. And I hear a lot of people say that they're tired of hearing a bunch of songs about beer and tailgates. For me, it's not so much the subject matter that gets me--country has always been about real life and real people. To me it does seem that there are a lot of songs that say the same old things in the same old way using the exact same words and phrases.

I can't wait for you to hear it and tell me what you think!
